Review by hotel critic
During our recent family vacation at Maiergschwendt, we found it to be an excellent choice for those traveling with children. Nestled in the Bavarian hills, the hotel offered breathtaking views from our large balcony - perfect for enjoying an evening bier after our daughters fell asleep. The playground and open spaces were a highlight for our kids, providing ample opportunities for exploration. We loved the convenience of trails starting right at the hotel for our morning hikes, as well as the delightful breakfast featuring fresh, local bread. On one of our three nights, we dined at the hotel restaurant, where the kids' menu made dining with our four- and six-year-olds stress-free. the proximity to Berchtesgaden and beautiful Lake Chiemsee made for enjoyable day excursions. Maiergschwendt provided a great environment for families seeking relaxation and adventure.
